Well last week I told you I was going back to work with Doctor Bill Jensen and is crack team of physical therapists and I had my first appointment on Monday. I told my therapist and Doctor Jensen of a rather peculiar thing happening to me. I would be walking when suddenly my right hip would seem to give out just for a split second. No real pain, just a weird sensation. They knew right away what it was. See that's what I'm talking about when I recommend you see Doctor Jensen for any of your chiropractic-related problems. He's so knowledgeable and works on fixing your problem immediately.
So I had my session with the physical therapist and at the end, that hip felt great and I haven't had it happen since. I will tell you that he found several trigger points or "hot spots" in that area and worked them out. Now that was a little painful occasionally, but it was supposed to be.
I'm also back on my stretching routine at home. That's my part of what Doctor Jensen calls Chiropractic Wellness Care. We're a team. Doctor Jensen wants each patient to team up with him and his staff. They do their part and I do mine. As long as we do that, I'm always doing and feeling much better.
Here's a reminder...call him at Premier Wellness Centers 345-3933. They're located at Tradition in Port St. Lucie. Check them out if you've got something going on that's causing you pain and/or discomfort. He'll fix you up. He's done it for me!!!
So here's the deal. The week of Christmas, I had a lot of entertaining, parties, dinners and just all around fun. So I put off making appointments with Doctor Jensen and his team of physical therapists. I vowed to myself I'd start up again the week "after" Christmas. Then that week came and went and now we're into the first full work week of the new year and I've been slammed with work and business committments and still haven't gone in.
I am happy to report two things to you. During my absence, had I not been going in on a regular basis before, my knees would've been very stiff and painful. That hasn't happen so I know the previous work I had done, has made all the difference in the world. Second, I am going back in beginning next Monday and I'm really excited about that.
Don't forget to tune into "Live Well" every Saturday on Rush Radio 94.7FM. You'll learn a lot, just as I do every week talking with Doctor Bill Jensen of Premier Wellness Centers at Tradition in Port St. Lucie. He's so knowledgeable about chiropractic wellness care and knows just what to do to get you back in working order.
I'll update you next week and let you know how my first day back went.
I played tennis seven days a week about 20 or 25 years ago. I also worked out hard on the treadmill. Somehow moderation or pacing were not in my vocabulary. I just wanted to be as fit as I could and play as much tennis as I could. As a result, I trashed both knees. They swelled, I had them drained and eventually had arthroscopic surgery twice on both knees. Over the next two decades, that lack of cartilage would take it's toll on my body.
The pain, stiffness and uncomfortable feeling just kept getting worse and worse over the years. I said to myself that it was manageable. Then at about the same time, I was involved in a fairly serious automobile accident and the MRI showed that it produced two herinated discs and three bulging discs. I eventually had a disc replacement at Cleveland Clinic because it was affecting my ability to walk.
Then with all that behind me, I've lived with the pain for many years. Then I found Doctor Bill Jensen at Premier Wellness Centers at Tradition in Port St. Lucie. All I can say is he's a Godsend.
I went in, filled out the necessary paperwork, sat down and talked with Doctor Jensen about my medical history. He was very thorough and precise. He also took xrays and showed me what was going on in my body. Then he prescribed a schedule of treatment between him and his expert team of physical therapists.
I will tell you this. In the beginning, lying on a table with my legs straight out, I could only lift my leg maybe nine inches. Now I'm almost at 90-degrees. It's been a remarkable transformation.
Not only that, but I make sure I get a one hour massage from his expert massage therapists at least once a month and twice most often.
I want you to check out Doctor Jensen's website at premierwellnesscenters.com and learn more about Chiropractic Wellness Care because it requires you to be involved in your recovery and good health as well as Doctor Jensen and his team. Also make sure you listen to our show "Live Well" every Saturday morning at 8:30 because Doctor Jensen and I discuss so many aspects of Chiropractic Wellness Care and I update you on my progress as well. If you have any type of situation going on, don't let it continue. I urge you to see Doctor Jensen to get on the road to healing and good health.
That's my first blog and believe me, there's more to come!!!!
